About Me: From Vestal, NY

Education: I graduated with my Associate's in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Delhi and obtained my tech license in October of 2023 after passing the VTNE. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Delhi as well, graduating in the spring of 2025!

Position: Relief Veterinary Technician/ER Assistant

Hobbies: Baking (cakes, cookies, brownies, absolutely anything when I'm bored and I'm always willing to try new things), hiking (especially the waterfalls throughout Ithaca), drawing, traveling, and attempting to play golf with my boyfriend!

Family: My parents, Dennis and Michele, my sister, Leyna, and my boyfriend Canon, who have all supported me every step of the way and have always encouraged me to follow my dreams, my passions, and are always willing to listen to all the fun stories that veterinary medicine has to offer each day. As well as my French Bulldogs, Stormi and Sunni, who have played a large role in my passion for animals and are a big part of why I do what I do for a living, as they encourage me to be the best veterinary technician possible!

Favorite Part of the Job: Being a voice for the voiceless. I love being able to help every patient that comes in the door at VCA Colonial, especially in the emergency department. Whether it be helping place catheters and helping with ultrasounds and radiographs, or something as small as a bandage change or a walk, being a small part in the care of the patients is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. Also, working alongside some amazing veterinarians, technicians, and assistants that are always positive, always finding ways to make the job fun and always being patient when teaching me new things, creating a family aspect to the job every time I walk into the building!
