Jessica was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Howard County, Maryland. During her childhood, Jessica and her family were involved in showing and breeding German Shepherd dogs. They were also involved in raising goats and rabbits and rescued and adopted cats. Jessica began her veterinary career in 1995 as a kennel assistant and moved on to become a technician and then a supervisor. She has been with VCA Columbia Animal Hospital at Hickory Ridge since May 2006. Away from the hospital, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and cheering for the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles.
"Animals have always been a part of my life, but it wasn't until my early twenties that I began working in the veterinary field. The moment I stepped into my first job as a kennel technician, I knew where I would spend my life. Over the years I have learned so much about medicine and the positive impact we make in pets and pet parents lives. As a hospital manager, I have the extraordinary opportunity to see my staff learn, grow and blossom in their positions. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to say, 'I love what I do.'"
