In our AAHA-accredited facility at VCA Conewago Veterinary Hospital, we've helped pets live long and healthy lives since 1980. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners.
Located in Hanover, our veterinarians, technicians and support staff are trained to the highest standards. Their thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines ensures that our patients receive the best preventive and healing care.
At VCA Conewago Animal Hospital, we look forward to welcoming you, your dog and your cat. Everyone on our staff believes the better we get to know your pets, the better we can provide the best possible healthcare for them. In fact, when you come in, you'll see exactly why our veterinarians are praised for their kind and thorough care.
We have been caring for the pets of Hanover, New Oxford, McSherrystown, and the surrounding communities for over 40 years. Our hospital was established in 1980 as a full-service veterinary facility and became part of the VCA family in 1996. We offer comprehensive wellness care for dogs and cats, as well as integrative services like acupuncture.
We are a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Fewer than 14 percent of the small animal veterinary facilities in the U.S. are members of AAHA, which is known for its quality standards for hospitals and pet health care.
Local Medical Issues
Lyme disease is very common in our area, and it is advised that all dogs over the age of nine weeks be vaccinated for this debilitating disease.
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.
We harness the scale and strength of our global network while acknowledging each individual's contribution. We work locally to improve the lives of all who interact with our brand.
