Dr. Gillian Hasslinger is a veterinarian at VCA Conewago Animal Hospital in Hanover, Pennsylvania, where she believes some of the most rewarding moments in veterinary medicine come from growing alongside the families she serves. From welcoming a new puppy or kitten to supporting pets through every life stage, she values the relationships and trust that develop over time.
Her passion for animals began early, growing up on a farm surrounded by horses, chickens, sheep, dogs, cats, and cows, and ultimately inspired her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. That early connection to animals shaped the compassionate, relationship-focused approach she brings to her work today and continues to inspire her commitment to helping pets live healthy, happy lives alongside the people who love them.

That passion for helping animals led Dr. Hasslinger to earn her undergraduate degree from Frostburg State University in 2015 before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Since then, she has been dedicated to helping pets live healthier, happier, and more comfortable lives through compassionate, individualized veterinary care.
Dr. Hasslinger is passionate about dermatology, dentistry, and surgery, areas where she can make a meaningful difference in helping pets find relief from discomfort, restore health, and improve their quality of life. She also values Fear Free care and believes that reducing fear, anxiety, and stress is an important part of good medicine, creating a more positive experience for pets and greater peace of mind for the families who love them.

Dr. Hasslinger believes pets are cherished members of the family and approaches every patient with compassion, patience, and the understanding that every pet deserves to feel healthy, comfortable, and loved.
