Growing up on a working dairy farm has given me a true appreciation for the reliance people have on animals. The farm was an excellent platform to start my future, little did I realize how far it would take me.
When I graduated from veterinary school, I started in a large animal practice. That helped me to hone my surgical skills. However, being on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week , I decided to limit myself to a small animal practice. When the opportunity arose at Coral in 1995 I seized it and have been here ever since.
Today, My wife and I have multiple animals, including four dogs, four cats, and one tarantula. In our spare time we can be found training the dogs so they may participate in our daily activities. From dinner outings to traveling vacations they are a part of our lives. All of this training also lead to national recognition in several AKC sanctioned performance events. I love my life here in Fort Myers.
My many years of practicing veterinary medicine has been very rewarding and emotionally enriching for me. There is constant continuing education. There is also personal relationships that have developed between me, my patients, and their owners. Each day brings something new to me.
