Carol Brunette
Staff Veterinarian DVM

Dr. Brunette became a veterinarian, in part, because of her seventh grade science teacher. "She had great enthusiasm for her topic and made it fascinating," she said. Dr. Brunette kept that enthusiasm all the way through high school, college (she earned her degree in zoology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1979) and into veterinary school. Dr. Brunette earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983.

Dr. Brunette's professional interests include internal medicine, preventive medicine, the treatment of pet behavior issues and puppy socialization. Originally from Oxford, Massachusetts, Dr. Brunette has been a general practitioner at VCA Countryside Animal Hospital of Hamburg since 1990.

During her free time, Dr. Brunette enjoys spending time with her pets - a dog named Moxie and a cat named Frieda. She also enjoys gardening, scuba diving, knitting and cheering for the Boston Red Sox.
