Dr. Maggiolo was born and raised in the Bronx, New York City. He attended the Bronx High School of Science and obtained a BS in biology at SUNY Binghamton. He lived in London for six years during veterinary school, after which he returned to practice in New York. He is a 1994 graduate of The Royal Veterinary College, University of London. He has been a County Animal Clinic veterinarian since 1995. He is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the AVMA, and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Dr. Maggiolo has a particular interest in managing chronic disease in geriatric felines and enjoys working with local police canines. He was a member of the group of first veterinary responders during the September 11 attacks, helping to care for the search and rescue canines in the early days.
He is a certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian by the AAFP and is RECOVER certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support by the VECCS.
Dr. Maggiolo resides in Putnam County with his wife, three sons and their cats. When not practicing veterinary medicine, he enjoys time at home with his family, exercising, cooking, and he is a die-hard Yankee and Springsteen fan!
