Alicia Pyne

Associate Veterinarian

DVM

Since Dr. Pyne was old enough to understand what jobs were, she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She has always felt a deep bond with animals and is passionate about making a lasting difference in their lives.

Dr. Pyne grew up in Fairfax, Virginia, and earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Bridgewater College before continuing her education at Virginia Tech, where she earned her DVM degree in May 2026.

During veterinary school, she was very involved in foster medicine. Dr. Pyne fostered numerous dogs and cats and helped lead a veterinary student foster organization that partnered with local shelters to provide foster homes for animals to prevent shelters from reaching capacity.

She is currently working on her full acupuncture certification through Chi University, having completed her exams and only needing a 30-hour internship and a case study to finish.

As a veterinarian, Dr. Pyne strives to provide compassionate, individualized care tailored to each patient and family. She particularly enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and supporting pets through every stage of life. Her professional interests include behavior, end-of-life care, integrative medicine and acupuncture, nutrition, internal medicine, and ophthalmology.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Pyne enjoys spending time with her two cats, Fisk and Atlas, who always keep her on her toes. She also loves photography, reading, hiking, paddleboarding, cooking, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer. She is excited to become part of the community and looks forward to meeting everyone!
