Wellness Exams

A wellness examination is a complete physical examination. Wellness exams are recommended for most pets at least annually, but often every six months for senior pets and pets with chronic health issues. A wellness exam can help ensure your pet's health and detect early stages of disease.

Further diagnostic testing is not included in the cost of the physical examination but may be recommended by your veterinarian for an additional fee. These tests may include blood work, urinalysis, stool testing for parasites, and proof of rabies vaccination.

Your veterinarian may ask you to fill out a preliminary checklist along with a complete medical history of your pet. The checklist will ask about any issues your pet may have. Be sure to complete the forms thoroughly and bring a list of questions about your pet's health.
