Back in 2013, Marcus was working at a retail store when he decided he wanted to make a change. He decided to jump into the veterinary field. He didn't have any previous experience, so he knew he had to go to school. Marcus applied to the PIMA Medical Institute's Veterinary Assistant Program. Upon completion of the Assistant Program, he fulfilled an externship at the Pet Hospital of North Park in San Diego. At that point, Marcus knew veterinary medicine was a good fit and he enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Program at PIMA. He did his externship at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center and was hired on as a member of the Surgery Department.
