Deandra is originally from Thornton, CO and moved to Fort Collins in 2022 to pursue her undergraduate degree in animal science at Colorado State University. After graduating, she plans to attend veterinary school to specialize in emergency medicine for both large and small animals. Deandra has worked in the medical field since 2022 previously as a CNA, but shortly shifted her focus to veterinary medicine in the following year. Most recently, she has been an active volunteer with Humane Colorado throughout their Homes with Hearts Foster Program and has now fostered over 15 animals! She is also a proud advocate for the PAW (Promoting Animal Welfare) Group that works with legislative engagement and public policy across the state to help provide access and education for responsible pet ownership. In her free time she also enjoys seeing her friends and family, listening and playing music, going to various concerts and festivals, and exploring different areas throughout beautiful Colorado!
