Dr. Diane McCombie is a true South Florida girl born and raised in the heart of Miami. Born into a Cuban-American household, Dr. McCombie speaks both English and Spanish fluently. Dr. McCombie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami with a double major in Biology and Marketing. Go Canes!! Looking to experience snow and the changing of seasons, she went on to obtain her DVM at The Ohio State University. While at OSU, Dr. McCombie had the opportunity to fulfill one of her dreams to travel to Thailand and work at an elephant hospital and sanctuary.
Dr. McCombie's professional interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, avian and exotic medicine and practice management. On her time off, you can find her soaking up the sun on the beach or doing water sports. Dr. McCombie has three fur-babies; Olive, a rambunctious beagle mix, Mango, an affectionate orange tabby, and Coconut, an adventurous Siamese mix who was one of Dr. McCombie's first patents at the beginning of her clinical year during vet school.
Dr. McCombie is excited to join the VCA HAH family and aspires to one day open up a practice of her own.
