Ever since she was a little girl, Jonalyn wanted to help people. She was fascinated by science and the medical field, and often thought of becoming a nurse. Then, when she was 12, she decided to pursue a different path of massage therapy, which she did for sixteen years and another two as an instructor. Eventually, while in Arizona in 2017, she decided to make a career change and began working at a veterinary clinic. She has continued this path since moving back East and joining the VCA Kirkwood Animal Hospital team. She finds it very rewarding to help support people and their pets in both the good and bad times, and always show them compassion.

Outside of work, Jonayn enjoys sending time with family and friends, cooking, music, traveling, camping, sports, and Bible study. She has three amazing, grown children and she feels being a mom has been the happiest experience of all.
