Megan Laverty has always had a passion for animals, both large and small, for as long as she can remember. Her curiosity about every animal she encountered grew even stronger in high school when she took Small Animal Science, sparking a deeper interest in diseases, the healing process, and the endless opportunities to learn in veterinary medicine.
Megan joined VCA Kirkwood in 2009 as a Kennel Assistant and soon advanced to the role of Receptionist. In 2013, she achieved her goal of becoming a Veterinary Assistant, a role she continues to love every day.
Animals never fail to put a smile on Megan’s face. She finds joy in helping them heal, caring for them during their time in the hospital, and seeing them leave happy and healthy. Most of all, she is passionate about being their advocate and ensuring they receive the best care possible.
