Shay is a veterinary assistant at VCA Kirkwood and an honors pre-veterinary major at the University of Delaware, where she is also pursuing a minor in insect and wildlife conservation and a One Health certificate. At UD, she is an active member of the Pre-Vet Club, Animal Science Club, and Environmental Justice Club.
She hopes to attend veterinary school and pursue a career as a wildlife veterinarian. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing lacrosse, and spending time with her cat, Marshmallow.
