Dr. Karen Dorairaj-Camacho, affectionately known as Dr. DC, was born in Malaysia while her parents were on vacation. Raised in Los Angeles, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis, and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. DC began her professional career with VCA La Mirada immediately following graduation and has remained a valued member of the hospital ever since. Her dedication to patient care, client communication, and mentorship reflects her deep passion for veterinary medicine and commitment to excellence.
Outside of work, Dr. DC enjoys traveling with her husband and sons and spending time with her beloved pups. She loves orchids and other tropical plants and has an amazing garden, courtesy of her husband. She is an avid tea drinker and will often bring both hot tea and iced tea to work. Dr. DC played and coached basketball, the best sport ever. She is a die-hard Lakers fan, but her favorite player will always be Michael Jordan!
