Dr. Calbay was born and raised in Orange County, California. She earned an undergraduate degree in Zoology from San Francisco State then moved to Arizona, where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Midwestern University. She then moved to Illinois to complete a small animal rotating internship. After her internship, she moved back to the sunny OC. Her professional interests include treating trauma and gastrointestinal emergencies. Outside of work, she enjoys scuba diving, food, traveling, the great outdoors, and taking the dogs along whenever possible! She also has no problem spending a whole day cozying up on the couch watching TV with her dogs (Pistachio, Pretzel, Popcorn and Pepper).
