Dr. Courtney Workman brings a unique blend of experience and passion to the field of veterinary medicine. Originally from Houston, Texas, she earned her nursing degree from the University of Texas before pursuing a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Long Island University.
Before transitioning to veterinary care, Dr. Workman worked for seven years as a cardiovascular nurse, where she honed her skills in critical care and patient management. This background provides her with a strong foundation in both patient care and complex procedures, which she now applies in her veterinary practice.
Dr. Workman has a deep interest in soft tissue surgery as well as exotic animal medicine. She is also passionate about rescuing animals, with her three beloved pets—Spooky, a rescued flame point Siamese cat; Zelda, a rescued tabby cat; and Winston, a rescue dachshund—serving as a constant reminder of the importance of compassionate care.
In her free time, Dr. Workman enjoys antique hunting, thrifting, and exploring historical homes. She's also an avid traveler, always seeking new experiences and perspectives to bring back to her work. Dr. Workman has lived in both Austin and Brooklyn, and her diverse background enriches her approach to veterinary care, blending science, compassion, and a love for animals.
