Dr. Costa is an associate veterinarian who has worked with us since 2021.
She was born and raised in upstate New York but later moved to Massachusetts for her undergraduate studies. She obtained an associate's degree in veterinary technology and a bachelor's degree in veterinary science from Becker College. Dr. Costa worked briefly as a certified veterinary technician before pursuing veterinary school. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University.
Dr. Costa enjoys all parts of her job but is especially interested in preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, urgent care, and feline medicine. She cares deeply about individualized care, effective communication, and ensuring pet parents understand the importance of their role in their pets' lives and feel like they are a part of the discussion and decision-making process.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Costa keeps busy with hobbies such as hiking, soccer, running, reading, and baking. She also enjoys spending time with her friends, family, husband, and their two kitties, Marshmallow and Meeko.
