Dr. Field is a Rhode Island native at heart. Bay Stater by choice! Dr Field joined VCA Lynnfield back in 2019. She earned her bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of Rhode Island and her doctorate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies.
She loves many aspects of veterinary medicine, including deep-rooted passions for behavior, surgery, dentistry, preventative medicine, and ophthalmology.
Dr. Field is Fear-Free Certified, which provides special training to prevent or alleviate stress for dogs and cats during their visits. In addition to her special interest in pet behavior, Dr. Field enjoys soft tissue surgery and essential dental surgery. Helping to keep pets happy and healthy is of the utmost importance to her; this shines through when communicating with pet parents during a visit. She wants to involve owners in the treatment and decision-making process when caring for their pets to ensure pet owners are comfortable with continuing at-home care if necessary.
She is the proud dog mom of a brilliant and happy rescue pup named Porter, a likely Lab/hound mix. Her kitties, Finn and Rey, brother and sister, came into her life while completing her clinical year at Kansas State University.
Spending time outdoors paddle boarding, hiking, bicycling, and going to dog parks are just a few of her favorite extracurricular activities. On a cold or rainy day, you could find her snuggling her cats and reading a book!
