We are excited to share some wonderful news with you! Please join us in welcoming Rebecca M. Scelba, DVM as the new medical director at VCA Madison Animal Hospital, beginning August 19, 2025.
Dr. Scelba brings with her more than 26 years of veterinary experience, including over 7 years in leadership as a medical director. She earned her Bachelor of Science in animal sciences from Rutgers University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Most recently, she served as medical director at Animal Emergency & Referral Associates, where she supervised a large team of doctors and staff, optimized patient care, and fostered a collaborative, learning-focused environment.
Dr. Scelba believes that exceptional veterinary care combines advanced medical expertise with genuine compassion and clear communication. Her passion lies in making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families, especially during their most vulnerable moments.
