Dr. Stone received both her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a Minor in Biomedical Sciences and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University with honors. After graduation, Dr. Stone moved across the country to Long Island with her husband, three Labrador Retrievers (Rosa, Chica, and Apollo), and one cat (Athena) and has worked here at Nassau-Suffolk Animal Hospital since. Dr. Stone is passionate about practicing Fear Free veterinary medicine to give patients the best experience and care possible, and has special interests in diagnostic imaging such as ultrasonography. She has a long history of volunteer work through raising Guide Dogs for the Blind, working with therapeutic riding horses for individuals with special needs, and working at the Wildlife Center at Texas A&M with numerous exotic animal species (exotic cats, white-tailed deer, ostriches, kangaroos, lemurs, and more!).
