Dr. Hannah Soifer is an associate veterinarian at VCA Old Canal Animal Hospital. Originally from Stamford, Dr. Soifer developed a passion for animals at a young age and has always gravitated toward caring for them. In high school, she participated in FFA, where she gained hands-on experience working with and learning about animals as part of her curriculum.
Dr. Soifer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut, where she also competed on the university's equestrian team. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University.
Dr. Soifer has a special love for cats of all personalities—from spicy to cuddly. She is passionate about continuing education and expanding her skills to provide the highest quality care for her patients while supporting the veterinary team around her.
Outside of work, Dr. Soifer enjoys fitness, including weightlifting, running, hiking, and skiing in the winter months. She also loves cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Soifer has a strong interest in integrative medicine and the ways conventional and holistic approaches can work together to support patient health and well-being.
