Dr. Lenna Witt has been part of our team since 2015, beginning her journey as a veterinary assistant with a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. A Kalamazoo native, she earned her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Western Michigan University before completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
At home, Dr. Lenna cares for a small "zoo" of beloved pets: her dog Sadie; cats Mr. Peanut, Penelope, and Pippa; rabbits Luna, Olive, and Kip; a cockatiel named Birdie; and a gerbil affectionately known as Little Spank. When she's not busy with her animals, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, relaxing by the pool, and tending to her growing collection of houseplants.
Professionally, Dr. Lenna is passionate about general practice and preventive care, valuing the long-term relationships she builds with both pets and their families. She has a special interest in geriatric care, dental health, and surgery. As a devoted rabbit owner, she understands firsthand how difficult it can be to find veterinarians experienced in rabbit care. Dr. Lenna is currently expanding her knowledge in this area and looks forward to soon offering dedicated veterinary care for rabbits and their families.
