Dr. Anat Elkayam was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

After graduating, she moved to Yuma Arizona, where she worked in a small animal clinic and at the Humane society. In 2021 Anat moved to Los Angeles and joined VCA. After 2 wonderful years she and her family chose to settle down in San Diego and she joined VCA Pacific Petcare Animal Hospital in 2023.

In her spare time, Dr. Elkayam loves to read, travel, and listen to music. She lives in Encinitas with her husband Adam, their son Jonathan and fur babies: Lizzy, Chief, Shimshon, and Bana.
