Denisse Aybar, Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Denisse Aybar joined VCA Pacific Petcare Animal Hospital in the Fall of 2020. She is originally from Rockville, Maryland. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. After finishing veterinary school, she completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Advanced Veterinary Care Center in Lawndale, California. She then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and practiced there for 8 years before moving to San Diego, California.
Her professional interests include preventative and internal medicine. She also has interest in aspects of holistic medicine. In 2018, she became certified in veterinary medical acupuncture.
Outside of work, she enjoys going on hikes and runs with her husband and her dog, a chihuahua-rat terrier mix.
