Selena joined the VCA Salem team in 2026 as a veterinary assistant with over 12 years of experience working professionally with animals. Prior to entering the veterinary field, she spent six years as a dog groomer. She has a special fondness for pugs, but her love for animals extends beyond cats and dogs, as she has also cared for geckos, snakes and chickens. Selena's favorite part of being a veterinary assistant is being surrounded by animals and working alongside people who truly care about their well-being. She also serves in the Oregon Air National Guard and is proud to support her community in that role as well.
