Hometown Care at VCA Salem Animal Hospital

Welcome to VCA Salem Animal Hospital! We are located in South Salem on Commercial Street near the intersection with Browning Ave, directly across the street from the Scottish Rite Center. Our hospital has been proudly serving the Salem community for many years. In addition to Salem, we service the surrounding areas of Keizer, Turner, Stayton, Silverton, Jefferson, Monmouth and Dallas.

Our facility was completely renovated and remodeled in 2024/2025.

Our team of skilled doctors, technicians, and support staff take the time to get to know you and your pet. It is truly our joy to get on the floor and snuggle your dog, or to take the time to soothe your shy cat. Their knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines ensures that all our patients receive the best in preventive and healing care.

We offer a wide range of preventative/wellness services designed to support every aspect of your pet's health. Regular check-ups, vaccinations, and health screenings are essential for a long, healthy life. Our customized wellness plans include routine services like yearly blood work, fecal tests, spay and neuter surgeries, and dental care. By addressing these fundamental health needs, we provide comprehensive care that supports your pet at every stage of life.

In addition to our wellness services, we also have a dedicated team providing Urgent & Emergency Care.

A Wealth of Veterinary Experience at Your Service! Our staff of nine veterinarians provide a vast amount of knowledge, expertise, and experience to help guide you through the best treatment for your pet. Our medical support staff of six certified veterinary technicians and 12 veterinary assistants are dedicated patient advocates.

Our hospital is equipped with dedicated surgery, dentistry, and radiology suites. We have the ability to offer in-hospital diagnostics including laboratory testing, ultrasound capability, radiology, and tonometry. Other services available include cold laser therapy, acupuncture, home delivery of medications/diets, and microchipping.
