Dr. Kayla Foster grew up in Monroe, MI. She attended Michigan State University, earning a BS in Animal Science. After graduating, she worked as a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons at her local YMCA and country club. She then attended St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she was involved in a research study identifying gastrointestinal helminthes and Campylobacter spp. in small ruminants owned by local farmers on the island. Her clinical year was completed in 2018 at University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She began working at VCA in April of 2019. Dr. Foster's special interests include internal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Foster and her husband have two dogs (Stella and Spike) and one off the track thoroughbred (Lloyd). In her spare time, Dr. Foster enjoys horse back riding, yoga, gardening, tending to her fish tanks, and spending time with her family.
