Dr. Kara Blankenship joined the VCA Three Notch Animal Hospital team in 2024 as an Associate Veterinarian, coming from the Southern Maryland area. Dr. Blankenship earned her degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from St. George's University as well as completed her fourth year DVM clinical training at University of Tennessee. Before veterinary school, she obtained a BS in Environmental Science from University of Maryland, College Park. She is also Fear-Free Certified, a USDA Accredited Veterinarian, and has a special interest in abdominal ultrasound and internal medicine. Dr. Blankenship has a passion for helping people and their pets and loves learning something new each day. When she's not at work, she enjoys going on walks with her husband and Golden Retriever, Rose, as well as game nights with friends and family, playing tennis, and traveling.
