After serving in the US Navy, Dr. Troy Everson set off to college aspiring to be a Wildlife Biologist. However, he found inspiration in working with injured animals while volunteering with Nebraska Raptor Recovery and redirected his career toward Veterinary Medicine. He is a graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Everson is trained in orthopedic surgery including tibial plateau leveling osteotomies (TPLOs) and fracture repairs. He is certified in physical therapy, acupuncture, and veterinary chiropractic therapy. Dr. Everson has also received extensive training to perform cardiac and abdominal ultrasound examinations. He continues to be passionate about learning new information and procedures that can better help our patients at VCA Tiara Rado Animal Hospital.
Dr. Everson and his wife Hillary moved to Grand Junction, CO, from Nebraska to be closer to her family. Their family includes Ronnie the pug, and Baloo and Binx, Scottish fold cats. Dr. Everson's hobbies are motorcycle and bicycle riding and playing mandolin.
