Dr. Rebecca Moore is a 2019 graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.  She is a die-hard Hokie and graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences.  Dr. Moore is a current member of the AVMA and VVMA.  Her special interests include dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and preventative medicine.
When Dr. Moore was in third grade she decided, like a lot of little girls, that she wanted to be a veterinarian.  She grew up around all kinds of animals, pet sitting for her neighbors, riding horses, and playing in her grandmother's cow pasture.  A future working with animals was obvious, but through the introduction of minor medical procedures like injections and fluid administrations during pet sitting, she began to fall in love with medicine.  As the years went on Dr. Moore never found any other profession she would rather be a part of and her love of veterinary medicine grew. Twenty years later she earned her DVM.

Today Dr. Moore and her husband Trey, a VT campus minister, live in Christiansburg with their furry child, a Miniature Schnauzer named Mae.  Outside of veterinary medicine her hobbies include running, hiking, horseback riding, traveling, and watching HGTV.  In another life Dr. Moore says she would like to be Joanna Gaines.
