Dr. Lytle obtained his veterinary degree from Louisiana State University in 2018. He completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery here at VCA Vet Care in Albuquerque. He worked as an emergency veterinarian outside of Boston for a year prior to completing a specialty internship in cardiology in Los Angeles. In 2024, Dr. Lytle completed a veterinary cardiology residency at Purdue University and in 2025 became board certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM). His professional interests include congenital cardiac disease as well as treatment of congestive heart failure. Outside of work, Dr. Lytle enjoys hiking, reading and collecting vinyl records. Dr. Lytle is thrilled to be able to provide excellent cardiac care to the pets of New Mexico.
