Dr. Kohler earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia in 2010, after which she completed a rotating internship with VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Weymouth. After her internship, she followed her husband to the Midwest and practiced in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Florida while he (also a veterinarian) finished his internship and residency in small animal surgery. She returned to practice in Massachusetts in 2016, and we're pleased to say she's now returned to VCA, having joined the Wakefield team in early 2025.

Dr. Kohler is passionate about preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, and pain management. She is a Fear Free™ Certified Professional.

Although she grew up in Mattapoisett, she's called the North Shore home since 2016. When she's not working, Dr. Kohler enjoys anything outdoors including hiking, camping, running, and snowboarding. Her family currently includes one husband, two kids, one dog, two cats, and five chickens.
