Rayna Faumuina was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. After moving to San Diego she eventually made her way out to Michigan State University on a full ride athletic scholarship for field hockey. She graduated in 1998 with a BS in Wildlife Ecology and Management. She started working at her first veterinary position as a receptionist in 1999. After being promoted to an assistant she then had the drive to become an RVT. After a short time she became an RVT and Technician Supervisor of a primarily exotic practice in Northern California. Then in 2002 she transferred to a sister hospital in Los Angeles. She quickly worked her way up to Hospital Manager and Technician Supervisor of a 3 doctor practice where she then wanted to add more challenges to her plate. She transferred to VCA's flagship hospital, VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital in 2005 as the Hospital Manager. Rayna has been with VCA WLA for eight years where she achieved her CVPM designation. As a certified veterinary practice manager she currently tries to juggle many hats. She enjoys the everyday unexpected challenges of being the Hospital Administrator in a brand new state-of-the art medical facility.
Rayna loves to spend her free time with her husband and son and their English Bulldog named Puka, their overweight cat Franklin and their California desert tortoise named Tug.Read More
