Paola is originally from Bogota, Colombia, and she joined the team in July 2021. She loves working with animals and dreamed of being a veterinarian since she was a child. Paola loves the fast paced environment of ER medicine and the variety of tasks that must be performed with each patient, she loves learning new things every day and being able to make a positive impact in the lives of pets and their owners. 

Paola is a Junior at UMW working on a bachelor's degree in Biology and she is also working on the Veterinary Technology Program at Penn Foster. She cannot wait to go to vet school and become a veterinarian one day. Paola is married and has 4 pets: Clyde, Bella, Lola and Ellie. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, running, hiking and scuba diving.
