I grew up in Chicago, lived in Oak Park and then settled in Lockport. I have a daughter, son-in-law and two beautiful granddaughters. I began working at VCA All Pets Hospital in 2008 after a long career as the Accounting Manager for an insurance agency in Joliet. VCA All Pets Hospital and I were featured in an article in the New York Times More Second Acts in American Lives after my career change. My profile was submitted by a mentor at Joliet Junior College - I am grateful to Dr. Navin for giving me the opportunity to do what I love, caring for animals and time to garden when I am home with my pets. I enjoy greeting each client, meeting their owners and trying to make their visit as comfortable as possible. I am currently owned by my Miniature Schnauzer, Nigel. My previous owners were my first Schnauzer, Winston, who passed recently and my dynamic duo, Doberman Pincher Simon, and his little boss, Rufus, a spaniel mix. They have all left their paw prints in my heart.
