Dr. Nicole Palumbo grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago and started working at her local veterinary clinic at the age of 15. She continued working at that same veterinary clinic throughout her undergraduate studies at Saint Xavier University until 2008. She attended the University of Illinois Veterinary College, focusing on small animal medicine and exotic medicine. Dr. Palumbo graduated in 2012 and moved to northwest Pennsylvania where she worked in a GP/On-Call ER practice for 6 years. Several years ago, she and her husband decided to move closer to Pittsburgh, where she then transferred to a local emergency animal clinic and became the managing DVM. Within the last year, Dr. Palumbo has decided to focus solely on GP work and is excited to expand her managing skills. Her special interests include feline medicine, dermatology, dentistry, and raptor medicine. She will be sitting for ABVP board certification for Feline Medicine in November of 2022 and is also completing a 14-month ISVPS course in Dermatology. Dr. Palumbo loves to be the voice for your pet and is always looking for a challenge. When she is not at work she shares her home with her husband, 10 cats and 3 dogs.
