Dr. Brett Tibbets earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 2013. Originally from Southeast Iowa, he joined VCA in 2023 and enjoys building strong relationships with both his patients and their owners while helping pets live healthier lives.
Dr. Tibbets has a strong interest in internal medicine cases and is USDA Level II Accredited. In addition to his work in veterinary medicine, he has proudly served in the U.S. Army for 16 years and currently holds the rank of Major. During his military service, he has completed missions in Guam, Japan, and Italy. He was also deployed to New York City in support efforts during the COVID pandemic.
At home, Dr. Tibbets enjoys spending time with his two dogs, Sora and Dash, and his two cats, Poppy and George. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys hiking, brewing beer, watching sports, and collecting Pokémon cards.
His favorite part of veterinary medicine is helping patients and their owners through both everyday care and challenging medical cases.
