Dr. Flenniken grew up in Colorado and completed both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees at Colorado State University. After graduating in 1996, he spent two years practicing mixed-animal medicine in Cortez, Colorado before joining VCA North Academy Veterinary Hospital and VCA Briargate Veterinary Clinic in 1998.
After many years of dedicated service, Dr. Flenniken has retired from full-time practice. He now enjoys retirement while continuing to support our team by working a very limited schedule and seeing patients on relief shifts as needed.
Dr. Flenniken and his wife, Lana, have one son, two cats, and a snake. In his free time, he enjoys trail running and obstacle course racing.
