Emily was born in Mendoza, Argentina and raised in Potomac, MD. Thanks to her frequent visits to Argentina she is fluent in both English and Spanish. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelors in Animal Science in 2007. After graduating she worked in the animal rights field for 4 years before going back to school and getting her Veterinary Technology degree from CCBC and becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2014. Her areas of interest are anesthesia, feline friendly practice, feral cats, and rehabilitation.

She lives in Rockville, MD with her husband and adorable dog Bubbas. She enjoys reading, hiking, yoga, scary movies, and anything beach related.

"I have always had a special connection with animals and new I wanted to do something with my life that would help them and keep me close to them. After my cat Bartelby got sick I was blown away by the care and support that the veterinary technician provided for him and me. It was that experience that made me switch carrier paths and become a veterinary technician. Animals deserve the best care we can give them, and I love being a part of that."
