Dr. Cheong joined VCA Country Oaks in August 2025, bringing with her a deep passion for animal care and a commitment to creating positive experiences for pets and their families. A Sacramento native, Dr. Cheong earned both her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis, followed by a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) credential from Chi University.
Her professional interests include acupuncture and Fear Free practices, which reflect her dedication to reducing stress and anxiety in veterinary visits. Dr. Cheong believes that the doctor's office doesn't have to be a scary place—it can be a space of healing, comfort, and trust.
Outside of work, Dr. Cheong enjoys exploring local farmer's markets, attending cycle classes, and cheering on the Sacramento Kings. She shares her home with two beloved dogs, Bambi and Ara, who inspire her every day.
