Originally from Rhode Island, Dr. Daisy Friedman attended Salve Regina University and obtained her B.A. in Philosophy. She also attended the University of Hawaii-Hilo, where she received her B.S. in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary Specialty before graduating from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She joined VCA Fairmount Animal Hospital in 2020.
If you asked her what she liked most about her job, she'd say, "I enjoy helping pets and their families. I'm committed to client education and communication and feel passionately about preventive medicine, early diagnosis, and long-term care. I'm especially interested in dermatology, feline medicine and livestock guardian breeds."
Dr. Friedman is Fear Free certified, AAHA certified in Animal Hospice and Palliative Care, and certified in CPR: Advanced and Basic Life Support by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.
Outside of work, she enjoys homesteading, cooking, stand-up paddle boarding and traveling. Her family includes her husband, Ben; their two Great Pyrenees, Lucy and Hugo; their three cats, Ginger, Mark and Kevin; their sheep and chickens.
