Matthew Boyer, Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Matthew Boyer joined VCA Fairway Animal Hospital in 2021 after graduating from Kansas State University. He grew up in Prairie Village, where he and his family used Fairway Animal Hospital for their pets' primary veterinary care. At an early age, Dr. Boyer became fascinated with science and animals. Growing up knowing veterinarians such as Dr. Stephen White and Dr. Hires Gage, Matthew decided to pursue his passions with a career in veterinary medicine.
After his first year of vet school at K-State, Dr. Boyer began working at VCA Fairway Animal Hospital during summer and winter breaks as a veterinary assistant, learning as much as he could from the talented veterinary staff. As he was finishing his final year of veterinary school, he happily accepted an offer to rejoin the team as an Associate Veterinarian.
Dr. Boyer enjoys his free time playing music, games, and spending time with family and friends.
