Dr. Riley Newson graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. She has experience in shelter medicine, general practice, and emergency medicine.

She has completed a Human-Animal Bond Certification and has experience practicing Fear Free Medicine.

Dr. Newson's professional interests include veterinary hospice and end-of-life care as well as animal behavior, clinical pathology, and veterinary social work.

Dr. Newson married her husband, Sameer, in January of 2021. They just purchased their first house in Olathe. Outside of work, Dr. Newson enjoys yoga classes, reading books by The Home Edit (and subsequently pretending to organize things around the house), and being a devoted fur-mom to their three cats, Finn, Phoebe, and Mona.
