Dr. Furgerson completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Virginia Tech and received her DVM degree from Purdue University in 1993, the same year she became a licensed veterinarian in Virginia. Dr. Furgerson did five years in a private practice and then six years in a corporate hospital. She joined VCA Healthy Paws in 2010 as a relief veterinarian. Dr. Furgerson is calm, thorough and compassionate.
