Dr. Kyle Reijm grew up in northwest Washington, where he helped raise cattle and developed a lifelong passion for animals. His interest in veterinary medicine began with his Cocker Spaniel, Charlie, who was diagnosed with diabetes when Dr. Reijm was young. Charlie’s experience inspired him to pursue a career dedicated to helping animals live longer, healthier lives.
Dr. Reijm graduated from Washington State University in 2019 and began his career at a mixed-animal practice in central Montana alongside his wife. In 2020, he and his wife relocated to Post Falls, where he joined Kootenai Animal Hospital and continues to practice today. His wife, Natalie, has since also joined the hospital team.
Dr. Reijm’s professional interests include orthopedic surgery, with a focus on TPLO procedures, patellar luxation repairs, femoral head ostectomies (FHOs), and fracture repair. He has also pursued advanced training in endoscopy to better diagnose and treat chronic gastrointestinal conditions. He performs a range of endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, nasopharyngoscopy, otoscopy, and endoscopic-assisted gastropexy.
Outside of work, Dr. Reijm enjoys camping, fishing, riding horses, and spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter.
