Dr. Elton D. Haydel is a 1990 graduate of LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. He is a native Louisianian who arrived in Texas after Hurricane Katrina flooded the City of New Orleans and his childhood home where he was living with his parents. He has an undergraduate degree in biology from Xaiver University of LA. He prefers small animal soft tissue and orthopedic surgery as well as internal medicine. He enjoys working with pocket pets including rabbits, ferrets and small birds. He is blessed with three wonderful children named Elton Jr., Taylor Paige, and Alexander. His hobby is salterwater marsh fishing. Dr. Haydel has been practicing for VCA since 1991 and has worked in Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, and now Lake Jackson.
