Dr. Rachel Gadbois was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas. She went to the University of Houston for the first two years of her undergraduate studies double majoring in biochemistry and biophysics. She then transferred to Texas A&M University and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2020. Dr. Gadbois went to veterinary school at Texas A&M and graduated magna cum laude in May 2024. She started working as an associate veterinarian for VCA Lake Jackson in July 2024. Dr. Gadbois thoroughly enjoys getting to form relationships with the wonderful clients, patients, and staff here at VCA! She loves that each appointment is unique and is always up for a challenging case to better the health and life of the animals she sees and the humans who care for them. Her special interests are internal medicine, cytology, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesia.
In her time outside of work, Dr. Gadbois enjoys playing with her 10-year-old border collie, Fiona, and taking her on walks or runs with her husband. She also enjoys exercising, traveling to new places, and brushing up on old dance skills.
