From an early age, Lissa has always been surrounded by animals. As a youngster, she was actively involved in 4H and competed on local and state level Horse Bowl and Hippology teams. She received her B.S. in Animal Science from NC State University and graduated with honors. After graduating, she managed a horse farm in New Jersey before moving back home to North Carolina in 2003. Lissa began her career at VCA Timberlyne/Legion Road  in 2005 and has since received an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology as well as becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2012. She currently lives in Hillsborough with her family and pets.
